BEA Benthos KIT-B
Unable to load pickup availability
Type of material
Type of material
BEA BENTHOS KIT-B is a selection of live marine benthic organisms of various species, specifically associated with solid and muddy substrates and with distinctly detritivorous habits.
Content
Content
Cycle, hard substrates, and associated organisms. Small crustaceans, worms, echinoderms, and other small benthic organisms.
The species composition may vary from one inoculum to another depending on the natural availability of organisms at the time of collection; however, the overall quantity and concentration of the inoculum remain constant.
The variety of animals present therefore depends on the availability of different species.
Effectiveness
Effectiveness
1) Promote system stability and the removal of debris, algal films, and sludge.
2) Populate rocks, DSB, and refugium.
3) Promote the production of live food.
Features and format
Features and format
1 500 ml bag of water, Bea Cycle, solid substrates and organisms associated with them.
Dosage
Dosage
Place the entire contents of the bag in the aquarium or refugium, including the water.
If possible, do this with the lights off and the skimmer or return pump turned off for about an hour.

L’the addition of benthic organisms to a marine aquarium is primarily intended to:
- Promote system stability and the breakdown of detritus, algal films, and sludge.
- Populate rocks, DSB, and refugiums.
- Promote the production of natural live food.
BEA BENTHOS KIT-B offers a selection of live marine benthic organisms belonging to different species, closely associated with solid and muddy substrates, with predominantly detritivorous habits.
These organisms play a fundamental role in maintaining the aquarium’s biological stability, particularly contributing to substrate health. By breaking down and transforming organic detritus, they actively participate in recycling organic matter and converting nutrients into biomass.
Their ongoing bioturbation activity helps keep rocks and sandy substrates in optimal condition, helping prevent organic buildup and improve the dynamics of biological processes within the aquarium.
In the BEA BENTHOS KIT-B, in addition to benthic organisms, a portion of BEA Cycle biomedia is included, already colonized by specific interstitial microfauna communities. This makes the kit ready to use immediately and easy to integrate into the aquarium ecosystem.
The selection may include crustaceans, worms, echinoderms, and other small benthic organisms, all with predominantly detritivorous tendencies and closely associated with solid and muddy substrates.
L’inoculum includes benthic organisms that are detritivores associated with natural substrates and benthic communities.
The species composition may vary from one inoculum to another depending on the natural availability of organisms at the time of collection; however, the overall quantity and concentration of the inoculum remain constant. This kit was designed to enrich the aquarium environment with greater functional biodiversity, recreating biological dynamics similar to those found on natural marine seabeds.
